Do you wonder if some comments made are just being sarcastic or being a bit rude/nasty

I usually leave a little face if it's meant to be sarky but some, you just can't tell and you wonder if you should 'bite'

(Sarky replies on their way I'm guessing);-)

A seaside town near you!

I'm not too bad at sussing out angry font ... I've had a few scathing comments when I've tried to be funny (as in funny ha ha) and they've taken it the wrong way tho

By who? "

A few people at the last social sent me messages afterwards saying that I was nicer and a lot less stern than they expected I would be.

I lost a few good friends due to my sarcasm (through texts or email messages). It's quite difficult to mend if they get the wrong end of the stick through that medium.

...but, my friends say i'm a sarcastic bastard. And they love it!

there are those on here which i will always take their responses as sarcasm as i have found they arent in the least bit nasty, and i would hope they would find me similar.

however, in real life, people know when im being one or the other, except, funnily enough, V. she mostly has no idea when im being serious or sarcastic.

Unfortunately even with winks, some people cannot read friendly banter. Not my problem .

I'm not a fan of sarcasm either, I would rather people say it as it is.

Hard to understand the online writing sometimes the if I'm joking or friendly.

Sarcasm like any other form of humour needs both parties to be on the same wavelength. It is not per se good or bad but it can cause issues when that wave length is not there.

I love subtle humour, including sarcasm especially from people whom I know to be genuine, kind and friendly in nature.

I really like the subtle use of irony. Sarcasm can be quite cutting and nasty if it is not in the form of friendly banter. That said it can be very funny
