Newsnight (BBC2) tonight was on the floods in the south. It had politicians, experts and local residents in the studio.

A female resident was talking about the policemen who came to help, and then said they were sexy!

Now if a man said that about a police woman or a nurse or any female who came to help in an emergency, he would've been mauled and lynched by the angry mob.

And if he was one of those miserable hate figures of fab known as "single male", then heaven help him.

Just not fair, me thinks
