Are social meets a thing of the past now? When I was on here a few years ago it seemed to be the done thing to have a social first and see how you got on. However it seems really difficult now to find someone who wants to go for a drink first.

Has it just become more acceptable/easier to get straight to it?

With the increase in people wanting to meet in clubs, there is still the social side where you meet in the bar and chat etc before deciding on playing....

We prefer going for a drink first, it is best and fair all round for a connection thing.

Nothing could be worse than getting there and no one likes one another once there, great to have a laugh and a couple of drinks.

ive re-joined recently after a long break away and your right no one seems to want to do socials anymore from my experience anyway, and most dont even wanna make a night of it having a few drinks etc either just want a quick shag n leave not my kind of meets at all, of course I have found a few diamonds in the rough that do still like a social or two

I'm an odd one.. I used to never do social meets... But would do now.

I actually enjoy it but I feel as I can't promise to move it to a play meet its a bit unfair on anyone.

Social is important to us, we wanna know we can get on with a couple and they're comfortable with us before we get naked and bump fun bits.

That said tho' a spur of the moment thing has its place too

I reckon social meets, just a drink or something, are good. You never really know what someone is like just from this site. Someone could look really hot on here but turn out to be a complete arse (or arset??) and vice versa

I agree about the social side in clubs. And that has remained the same.

But in general if I try and arrange a drink first it seems that people would rather not, and would rather I went straight round or vice versa as they dont have the time for socialising.

No it isn't. If you don't get on with someone then it doesn't go further anyway. If you are having a good time but no chemistry (or whatever) , then you've both had a fun meet and a decent time anyway. Nothing wrong with that x

I'm in a bit of a funny place for socials. I go to no end of TG events and go pubbing and clubbing regularly in glam mode, but it takes a brave person to want to meet me in their local café.

I always ask for a social meet first. I don't mind if it's an evening drink and things progress from there if we're both happy.

Most will agree, however one of the reasons I've changed my profile to say that I cant accommodate anymore is that recently a couple of men have wanted to skip the social meet and asked to come straight to my house. Needless to say the meets didn't take place!!

Social is a must for me, wouldn't meet anyone without one because if there's no attraction mentally or physically then there's no point and of course, there's the safety factor. I'm still amazed at the amount of guys that expect to be invited round my house without meeting socially first. Even if nothing comes of it, its a night out, beats staying in watching telly!

The social meets are incredibly important for me. You can get to know the person you are with far more than you can once sex is on the agenda. I have had fantastic social meets recently

Very interesting topic , and one close to our way of thinking .

For 18 months we never did socials , just went with the flow as we only really went to clubs .

We now find we socialise far more , which is sometimes frustrating as ultimately we go out to play , and get so engrossed in chatting that we forget why we are out lol !

So periodically we put on our status we don't do socials and deliberately avoid the usual crowd at the club !

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I have noticed an increase in the meet now requests. Then they get a bit huffy when I say that I only do spontaneous with those I know and trust.

I tend to mostly meet those who are willing and able to meet at a club now. Arranging socials takes longer than arranging a play meet but I bet those same people would be available if I said I would meet here at home at that time.

Social first, always.

I'm not prepared to jump into bed with some random person who wants to meet; there has to be a mental and physical connection.

To be honest we have had many a great shag that has been somewhat spoiled by having a conversation afterwards !

If the guy , girl or couple are fit and clean , we are very happy to play , and the pre play chat is not always necessary .

The after play conversation is often exhilarating but sometimes I necessary

sociak meets are important to see if the connection is there etc

but if i have agreed to meet someone for a social i 99.9% that i like them so the socia is a formality
