So not only do they bugger our savings, our banks and thge economy, but now they've closed our airports!

Sat in Florida at the moment and should fly home this evening, no idea if the flights will happen, thank god we have tinternet!

Worst case scenario is having to endure 80 degrees for a few more days

Well still stuck, the news an hour ago looked like there might be some hope, but that has just been dashed by NATS.

The yanks are great peeps, had a restaurant manager and owner talking to us today, checking we were ok and that they would do anything to help, including free food. Wouldn't happen in blighty, you'd be charged double lol.

Thankfully we are now booked next week when the forecasts look better. Now its al down to ruddy Iceland

Just been talking to my bank.

Although my holiday was booked on a VISA DEBIT not credit card I may still be able to claim all costs using a process called CASHBACK.

In which the bank need all holiday company documentation and a letter from the booking company, airlines etc. to be sent to them saying the holiday has been canceled, no refund or re-booking offered, and I could get all costs claimed back for me.

Anyone in this situation check out visa debit cashback. I'll update as soon as I know anything else. Fingers crossed! xxxxxx
