Strangely, it appears that is one of the reasons they are happy. Everything works well because everyone pays in a fair amount to make it all work.

My great great grandfather was from Denmark or Norway. He was born in a town called Rønne. It is now Denmark but has been Norway . He was a seaman and he jumped ship when they docked in canning town. We are hoping to visit in a couple of years but it's an island and it's hard to get to.

I saw the 2 actors appearing on BBC Breakfast the other day. The actress playing Saga looked very different. They're the best police duo I think I've ever seen.

I'm Danish and watched the program I felt so homesick and can't wait to go back in May to see everyone.

Yes we do pay high taxes but could I just say that our wages in DK are about double of what they are in England it all evens out. Except houses are cheaper in Denmark so better standard of living. Also small country maybe that's why we are happier we have more time for friends and family.

love the idea of living in Denmark seems like a fair and relatively equal society.

did note that there is another list of happiest countries (happy planet index) which adds factors that the UN one doesnt, Costa Rica comes out top of it with Denmark at 110

Already an interesting book. Danes having such high personal debt came as a surprise.
