Eating food they have cooked/baked..

My middle daughter is pretty good at baking cakes. My other two, not a chance I would eat anything they'd cooked or possibly even ordered from a take-away!

lol im alright if i have supervised and over seen the process/cooking it

i was presented with loving eyes and a tin foil ball.. it contained a 'butterfly cake' (not that it was recognizable lol)

clearly she was proud as punch with her creation and wanted me to eat it.. i was all smiles and smelt it. It appeared OK.

texture of a unbaked scone, with a pink mush that was pretty much pure sugar.

If im ill later i know why.. still i was thrilled for her she made it, went through all the processes.

Things can only get better lol

My middle boy is amazing in the kitchen. His roast potatoes outdo his dads who was a chef. He has even managed to get my youngest to eat offal and mashed potato

bathing them.

i once watched a friend bathing his baby daughter and he did it by sticking his fingers up her nose, and swilling her round the bath like you would a flannel.

i asked what the fek he was doing, and he said its the only way to do it as the water was boiling!

I recognize this on so many occasions in my kids lives, the look of hope and pride in their eyes brings you to your knees.

Mine are 20 & 22 and that look is still there but thankfully the cooking is vastly improved

my lil one is only just 4.. so im going over the top with praise as im glad she enjoys time in the kitchen. We often cook together... well its more me explaining and talking through stuff

But when ive had no involvement with food (due to it being made in nursery) im a little nervous haha

So we have 4 or 5 months to get the lifts in - and then we can say "oh we're going out for a drink, can you just drop us off here please.... And we need to go now!"

Haha yeah on these occasions I used to be very excited and praise the item and them for making such a lovely cake etc

Then rub my tummy and say mummy doesn't want to spoil her dinner, put it on a plate ready and tell them I was going to save it as it was so special and have it with a cup of tea later that night.

In the morning I would make sure the plate complete with wrapper or crumbs and a dirty mug were left on the kitchen unit or table and tell them at breakfast how yummy it was lol

Thankfully my eldest is pretty clued up on driving and also a bit of a petrol head like me so I'm fairly confident that she'll do well..

Ok as she didnt nip out and catch a butterfly to add to the mix you will be fine.
