Molly's Chambers...after the first punk/Southern Rock/Tom Petty inspired album, I thought they went a bit shite!

Gonna sound predictable, but Use Somebody is my favourite, its rare that you hear such a strong, masculine voice open up like that.

This ^^^^^

Debut album was excellent. I saw them at the O2 Islington while they were promoting it. Tiny venue and a brilliant gig. Second album was ok. Absolute garbage after that. Although I do stil love Molly's Chambers.

"What about Beautiful War ? Now you can't call that garbage ... Can you ?"

I'd not heard that one before so just gave it a listen. There's nothing wrong with it but not to my taste really.

Maybe garbage was harsh. But I got quite excited about this band and I didn't really get on with their later stuff.

They cut their hair and lost their power...simple! Turned into a marketing executive's perfect amalgam of U2 and Coldplay (whoever would think that was a good idea, is beyond me! )

It 'borrows' a little from 'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For'!

see them on mtv alternative about 18 months before their 1st uk single. Thought then woh they freaky but man they good. Then came sex on fire n well they lost the raw southern rock edge and became way to mainstream.....xxx
