My sister makes all the family cakes. She is amazingly talented.

For Ruby's birthday last year she made the torso of a woman wearing a corset. It was stunning!!!

Previous cakes have included a horse's head, an owl, a turtle, an iPhone, a shoe on a cushion, a fairy toadstool complete with sugar past fairies (my nan has kept one that has lasted nearly 2 years now lol)

For me it's less about the design and more about the thought behind the cake and the people giving it to me.

The one my teenage son chose for me a couple of years ago was the nicest I've received. Mainly because of the thought he had put into it
