why are so many new profiles showing phone numbers on them? seen 6 today but with a hour or two they have left or been taken down by admin! I think its strange why people would just put up there phone number for any one to see.

Because they can. I don't think it's against the rules for people to pit numbers on the profile so not sure why admin would be taking them down?

I don't use my phone for this, but then hardly anyone I know in life has my number, either. No idea why not, but I've got about 6 numbers in my phone that aren't family and half the world seems to know me

we get loads of messages with phone numbers in them I think its a way to show that you're genuinely up for meeting possibly.

New members don't know the form, and haven't found their feet or had possible experiences that could have gone wrong.

The other point is that single guys may feel it makes it easier for them to get meets, as it's typical for them to struggle for a while etc.

I'd not make judgements on these people, apart from believing it's their real phone no, and they want to communicate/meet with others.

It depends on who and in what context as to wether it is allowed or not.
