"So I just got off the phone with an adult film recruitment company - I replied to a random Craigslist ad a couple of months back out of curiosity as being in a film is something I've always wanted to try. Anyway, after chatting for a bit it inevitably came to her asking for £250 for marketing costs to host my details with them. This obviously got alarm bells ringing! 2 reasons I thought scam: 1) Thier website, whilst professional looking, contains no links or mentions to the production companies they work with. Just why keen performers should sign up. 2) As a recruitment agency, which is effectively what they are, should they not be getting their fees from the production company and not the talent? Obviously I said I'd think and let it at that, but I thought I'd shout out to see people's thoughts, and also to highlight a potential scam others may get embroiled in. What you reckon?"
