I do not know you or her, but I send you my sincere best wishes. I have been in theatre during these operations and have seen the amazing results when the physical scarring heals.

I do community nursing and am working with a couple of ladies at the moment who have had mastectomies, what they can do now days is amazing

I wish her all the best x

Thank you everybody on Lyns behalf for the wonderful wishes , I know that Lyn is keen to share her experiences with this difficult part of her life with people that might have to go through the same sort of thing , it's always better to talk to somebody who has been there as Lyn found out from 2 lovely people that we met here on this forum .

The surgery has gone well and Lyn told the surgeon that if she was going to go through all this shit that they might as well put a bigger set in .

For me (Chris) this has been a difficult time , an emotional roller coaster , plus the fact that I am out of the country .but now we can look ahead and enjoy life .

It must have been a very difficult time for both of you and I wish you all the very best for Lyn's recovery and for a happy healthy future. Hope Lyn will also be delighted with her "new" boobs once she is over the discomfort & stress of the surgery, sounds as if she has a very positive attitude which will get her thro.
