In Your Bush

Have you got a boot release button on the drivers door?

Also there should be an emergency boot release somewhere - check your manual (that will be in the glovebox )

Oh - the glovebox is part of the facia in front of the passenger seat (the one your friends sit on)

You have to stand with you legs as far sort as possible near the exhaust. Then with a finger on your left had stuck in your right ear. Then proceed to yell.

That will fix it instantly

that would be a funny thing to see

yeah Minxie trying to wrap a mallet in a quilt without it dragging in the puddles

"

Run over Timmy Mallett and see if that bump loosens the tailgate. "

"real proper question that I need some help with ... I am suspecting it will have to be a bloke that answers it though ...

Help ... I was undoing my tailgate and accidentally locked the car on the fob .. so pressed the button again at the same time as pulling the catch ... the catch went in and stayed in .... and the boot wont open ......... have tried locking and unlocking it again but the catch is still in .... any ideas please? "

Spray WD40 into all crevices till fully lubricated to the point it drips out of all orifices at rear of lock, wait then vigorously use fingers on the sensitive areas to loosen. If it fails take it to a garage.

It could be the spring has gone then or latch mechanism if its flappy you may be able to get a 2nd hand part or you may be able to get it rebuilt if its the mechanism not the lock it might be fiddly though.

If you havent sorted it theres a few things to try. I dont think its electrical because the boot release catch is stuck in. Apply pressure to the area where it sits in the lock see if this releases it. You can press the boot release fob at the same time. Try wanking the lever, meaning move it backwards and forwards. Try the position one advise get someone to listen see if it makes a noise or detatch the key from the fob if your able,if its built into the key have you got a spare key/fob to try??

You could check the fuse, see what else the fuse operates, see if these operations work If non of these work disconect

The battery leave for 5 mins then reconnect. This could reboot the system. Get into the boot remove the trim to get into the gubbins. Spray wd40 over all internals you should be able to open it from this position. You should also see if anythings broke or come off. If non of the above works, take it back to the idiots at the garage. Flutter your eyelashes at them,do the maiden in destress routine or shake your whip at them wearing your dominatrix outfit...

I hope its released overnight,or you sort it......

If its got tits or tyres its trouble
