So how far do guys realistically traval for a meet?

I have looked though most profiles in my local area if not all of them. But i refuse to look further afield as im not desperate.

How far so you gents really travel just to get meets

I'm not a gent but I've driven a 200 mile, 9 hour round trip to see play partners before. And I flew up to Inverness a couple of times to see someone I really wanted to meet.

It depends on the person and how much I want to see them.

I have always been virtually certain I'd get on with the people I travelled a long way to meet, and I always have.

If someone wants to travel to me, or I want to meet someone I am less sure there will be mutual attraction with, I'll try to combine it with something else, or meet near a club, so it isn't a wasted trip.

Plus a social meet can be good fun too. It doesn't have to be all about shagging. If you click and happen to want to fuck each other silly then great but that's not the be all and end all.

Well for me, I don't do cold meets so I would need to be pretty sure first. Obviously there are no guarantees, but it does reduce the chances of this happening.

Someone's definition of local is going to differ to another's, and it partly depends I think on where you're based.

Stafford has a reasonable population volume within half an hour or so, and with motorway access, which others don't have, the same journey time for a 70mph traveler will differ to someone just using a winding lane.

If you have a ton of offers, then you can be selective. If you've met great friends at a swinging club some distance away, then it's less likely that they'll be right on your door step.

For those who are married and partnered, if their partner does not know they swing, then it's probably only practical to travel very locally.

Unlike Stafford, some people live in very remote locations, where the nearest neighbours, let alone swingers, live miles away. There's less choice for such people, so they can do without or someone's got to travel.

It's all horses for courses. I don't generally travel. If I'm away, then I could be a long way from home, and still meet, it's just that I wouldn't have traveled 12,000 miles for it.

There's always Skype if you want to chat and get to know someone a little before going long distance.

I'm happy to travel for the right people. There's a couple that I played with when they were in London on a trip who I met through another site. They live 'oop narth' and I'd like to go up and see them at some point.

I can travel in my local area, but not far as married and I don't drive. Am wary now as have had, like some of us had letdowns. But have had some good fun lately so starting to feel like things are looking up

I'll travel a good distance for events, TG or club nights, but not so much for a single guy.

It takes me 90 minutes to get ready, then say an hour to get to theirs and most meets are over within 30 minutes. It can get very disproportionate. After coitus a lot of chaps I meet just want me gone, possibly because once they've shot their load they've lost interest or the sound of my voice has become grating.....

Up North

As I preferred overnight, travelling was never an issue. I found it a bit of an adventure. The build up and anticipation is very important as well. As been said before I have always been pretty certain I was going to play with them and did. Also I am not going to bump into them at my local supermarket.

I don't travel too far but if I could afford it I'd travel further afield and more often. Combining visits to certain places with a meet is ideal and less pressure if you find you didn't really get on face to face.

Id say 40/50 would be my max amount unless as some one said above I made plans to do other things why there.
