Cretinous bbc nooz reporter this morning at Chesil beach, standing right by the most horrendous sea I've seen down there in a while.

They deserve a drenching at the very least!

Well my house is in the same place as it was last night. The windows were badly flexing with the wind. Fence panels down. Dogs scared stiff.... but we are all safe!

Did the new floodgates in Weston work?

Thankfully yes. £20m well spent. Glad you're ok. Pictures from Dawlish look frightening!

basically the sea has removed part of the wall that holds up the railway line.

the whole of the south west is now cut off to the rest of the country by rail travel

the track is dangling freely in the waves. Its also destroyed part of the station platforms.

How awful, was lightening to the radio this afternoon, and a resident there was in tears on the radio.

It's taken the road out on the otherside of the railway, looked very close to a house, inches away.

Houses collapsing into the sea and Kingsands in Cornwall.

Lots of people have been evacuated from their homes. Where the sea walls have been washed away, so have the footings of their homes. Poor bastards
