Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Yes. I was in the middle trying to break it up. It wasn't about me but it was over me. I was appalled.

Only time I can think of is when I was in my teens. My brother once got into a fight with one of his friends trying to come on to me.

I found it rather pointless and silly....

"And were you thrilled or appalled?"

Appalled. Had a boyfriend in my youth that openly tried to beat up anyone who dared to take me out after we split up! I think we got the police involved.

God I'd forgotten all about that.....

My first boyfriend and fiance didn't try to beat up the men I met after, just me for daring to see anyone else when we split. He stalked me for three months and if he saw me just gave someone a peck on the cheek it was enough to have him come over and punch me in the stomach.

Insecure bullies seem to use fists as a way of bolstering their fragile egos.

My brother once defended me from a guy who was being a real arse in a pub car park. At 6ft 4 and built like an outhouse, he towered over the little twat though, so he didn't have to do much. Can't deny I was relieved and entertained in equal measure!

Oh my word!! Thanks goodness you didn't marry him!! This boyfriend hung around outside the house and beat up one poor little guy who'd just walked me home after I went in!

The violence is one of the reasons I ended it. He got a bit angry about that.

Titz Towers, North Notts

As I can wind people up, I think they are more likely to fight over who gets to punch me first.

Mind you a friend of mine got decked in Blackpool the other week. She was more put out that a guy would hit someone in a dress than anything else. No respect!

I used to kickboxing and used to love fighting I front of women. How many women on here luv to see men fight especially over them. A lot on here have posed they don't but I also know there are a lot of women who love it. It's hard wired into their brains from way back to look for the strongest mate and seeing a man win in a fight makes him biologically an attractive mate and so the fight is an arousing spectacle for them and it makes them sexually attracted to the winner. Some women deny it to fit with society norms but it is a very strong primeaval instinct to want a strong man and to see him prove this in a fight.
