Is it me , or are the women I am meeting being , let's say , getting mixed up with their ages on their profile ,,, 42 yr old my arse lol more like Fooking 52 ,,,, anyone else noticed the massaging of a few years off their ages !!!!!

I've noticed this with some profiles, but it doesn't necessarily mean they are lying as not everyone looks their age. If it matters to you get them on cam before you meet.

I'm nearly 57 and I'd rather people think I look ok for my age than for me to say I'm 47 and them to think that I've had a hard life.

Age does matter though, else why have age limits?

I still think that looks and personality will be the main selection criteria for most people though

I've noticed it in chaps as well. I once had a pubbing and clubbing meet with a guy who through conversation gave me enough clues to work out that he must have been 9 when he joined the army, if his fab age had been correct.

This did make a difference to the night, as in person he did look older than his pics and it wasn't that great bopping away in a nightclub with someone that old.

There are a lot who lie on here age is just one of many things they lie about however on meeting its the most obvious.

age doesnt bother me.well it is just a number,plus im past carring anyway as majority of folk are younger than me,i get lovely comments and met a few lovely guys.i would rather be honest than try to make out im 25,or 55,so anyone can take it or leave it.simples.

Well I mainly look at men's profiles and I have noticed a few who are clearly lying about their ages.

People do. I just say no if I think they are outside my preferences and move on to the next. No drama required.

I don't understand the lies about age to get around filters. I had one man tell me he put down the age he feels. I wanted to suggest he should use the age he acts as that would be even lower.

My age will go up about 6-8 weeks before my actual birthday as I didn't want to put my birth date down. I might be the only muddle aged person to set their age higher than their real age.
