Do you take painkiller on a regular basis?

Migraine can last up to 72 hours.

I don't think it's a migraine. It's just a dull ache. I think it might be muscle tension. I've been drinking plenty so it's not dehydration.

Yes, I've been taking painkillers regularly but I only have nurofen and paracetamol as I've run out of cocodamol and not had a chance to get more. Nurofen doesn't usually help much with headaches and the paracetamol isn't doing much.

Syndol used to be great for tension headaches but it's not been available for ages.

sorry didn't word that to well, without the headache do you normally have to take painkillers, the frequent use of painkillers can lead to problems with a headaches. You can safely take paracetomal and nurofen together.

No, I don't normally take painkillers. I have been for the headache and I have been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen together but it's not helping.

I've just found a couple of Paramol though, which is over-the-counter strength paracetamol and dihydrocodeine, as well as 5mg of diazepam. If they don't help I'm not sure anything will.

I'm going to soak in a hot bath as well to see if it helps the shoulder and neck tension.

Hope it eases soon, hopefully what you've taken will have some effect. The thing with headaches is there seems to be no reason for it, at least if you've cut yourself you can relate to the reason for the pain. Frustrating.

Do you have strong hands? My shoulders feel like someone poured concrete into them!

How soon can you be here?
