I was saying to a friend last night, it seems that the people who are second in talent shows are more successful than the winners. I think this proves the majority of the British people are crazy at picking winners.

Winners often do well too though its more down to marketing though as a better quality product is easier to market,

Exactly - look at people like Susan Boyle, JLS, etc. Both second placers, and still doing well for themselves.

Looks like Sam Bailey, who won the last X-Factor, is proving herself just a one-trick pony. I doubt we'll hear anything from her now, since her single quickly disappeared from the Top 40 in just a few weeks.

Was number 1 for just a wk and then out the charts 3 weeks later.in all honesty it wouldnt have made the top 100 had it not been a crap factor song

I can't keep up with the X-Factor 'stars' the rate at which they're churned out - didn't some lad with a beard win last years?
