Can someone explain the point. You join a swinger site look at other profiles but hide your own. WHY ?

They may be taking a break from meeting or answering messages but still joining in on chat or forum or looking at photos.

I think you can hide your profile if you want to take a break for the site rather than deleting it so it's still there if you want to return. I'm not sure if it suspends your gold or silver membership though

Lots of reasons why someone may want to hide their profile if they want to take a break, it's a lot easier than deleting your profile and starting again!

I had a message from a guy yesterday but when I went to check out the sender his profile was hidden!!!

How can you reply if you can't see who your talking to?

Does seem pointless if a man has a hidden profile, as to be honest, we don't get that much attention. However, some ladies do get plagued by fuckwits and stalkers, so this is probably the reason why 'they' hide their profile.

our profile is hidden and we still use forums etc, the reason it is hidden is because although we would like to meet, we just cant at the moment for personal reasons, by hiding it, it saves so much time answering people who say "love your profile & pics, would you like to meet/shag/fuck etc" when it clearly states numerous times that we cant meet and all our pics are hidden too,

so, for us, its for saving responding but we do like to keep in the loop, also we enjoy the forum banter.

^^^^^ this plus ill health, family problems, work commitments and sometimes real life gets in the way. We're not all available or even inclined to meet 24/7!

I get the point you are making, if you are not looking to play why would you be looking at others.

I suppose they could have read something you posted and checked out your profile, or are looking in peace as to who they might mail in the future

Yea, this has happened twice to me, I've got 2 winks, went to check out who they were from, but when I clicked on there profile it was "hidden".

Even I dont see the point of doing this.

We have a great contact, massive c@#k mmmmmmmm, who hid so we rang him. Turns out rumour of him being on here had spread in work so he was just being cautious. We would hide profile, no prob, if we wanted a break it doesn't mean you aren't still a perv and want to chat in forums or oggle pics xx

I've hidden my profile a lot over the years for various reasons, taking a break, holidays, family life taking over, ill health or don't want to be bothered while reading/replying to messages. I often browse the forums whilst hidden but unhide it if taking part in discussions. I don't however, understand why people hide it then message you. If I am active on here and want to message people I'd unhide it but as someone has already said, people run their profiles how they wish.

I only want to meet people I know if I meet at all for now. They don't need to read my profile. Winking and sending messages to new people does seem a bit strange if you are hidden.
