I don't really follow it anymore but I played for quite a few years. Was actually the only sport that I seemed to excel at. I think even in the states it's dying a bit...

I didn't. My nearest rink was Bracknell at the time and made it into the under 16s but then was told I was too old (by a month) to play so I ended up playing in a rec team with coaches and ex bees players which was pretty awesome.

I was in the US for some time about 6-7 years ago and went to a few games but the seating was almost empty and the local guys who I went with said the sport is dying and that baseball, football and basketball were so much more popular that hockey is slowly fading there.

I had a season ticket at the flyers for 7 years back in the day! Seeing as your from Kirkcaldy I'm guessing you are a flyers man too?

The Elite League season starts the weekend of 5/6/7 Sept although there are challenge matches the weekend before that. Not sure about the EPL league but it'll not be far behind the Elite league.

All went downhill after Thommo jumped ship really, didn't it!

Nickerson is an arse, why Fife re-signed him I don't know, what I do know is he's earning them a fortune in merchandise sales.
