I have to say this environment can be quite unforgiving at times!

Speaking with a couple for a few days and meeting all their requirements I offered a social meet near to my house as they live 10 to 15 miles away (according to the FAB Map) I stated that we could meet for drinks and if all happy back to my place. This morning I have a message saying that I have to book and pay for a specific hotel in Manchester and bring along wine.............and and a bottle of the ladies favourite perfume!

As I say quite unforgiving at times!

perfume lol, bottle of wine fair enough, specific hotel picky, perfume piss take unless you pick up a very small sample bottle...

To me, demanding things like a bottle of perfume is like asking for payment.

Hmm, I would remove the references to 'fruits' and 'solvency' in your profile, that will surely attract the mercenary.

I'd say that sounds unreasonable and not unforgiving.

I will insist on hotels or clubs but not which ones (even Travelodge is ok for a day meet) and I share. No one should be ASKING for a gift.

I did decline the proposition as the choice of perfume was at the cheap and tacky end............!
