hi people and evening am curious to what other people think and say ? I am a fond believer that if people in a relationship were more open with each other then there wouldn't be no need to cheat or lie to each other ? which I feel would then cut the amount of relationship break downs am I right or wrong ?

I think you're right to a great extent but both people need to be ready to accept openness and there needs to be a lot of trust and love...a chicken and egg situation in some ways.

Also there will always be people who thrive on lies and deceit.

not at all.

if ALL couples were open with each other, one half may well find out the person they are in love with arent the person they thought they were at all.

if you think just being open and honest then everything you say will be taken on board and accepted, then you are very much mistaken.

relationships, as with life, is all about give and take.

little white lies that keep everyone happy.

as long as they dont turn into big black lies, then keeping things from each other is always healthy.

just because you have little secrets doesnt mean you will cheat.

if you cheat its always in you to cheat, and nothing or no one will ever change that, except you

We couldn't be more open, we tell each other everything. If you can't have complete openness and trust and need to lie about things your heading for a downward slope
