Last year I went to a chinese buffet with my wife who I'm separated from - we had already been separated three years by then so it was not romantic at all and more doing it just so we each had done something.. but it didn't really seem right if you get me.

I've never indulged in valentines day and never will...I don't agree with being told that I have to be romantic on a certain day. It's quite cute when you're at school and you send/get sent an anonymous card, but why should I send one to my husband? He knows I love him...don't need to spend money to show him.....bah humbug!

Florists certainly don't make any extra money at valentines day, because of the demand for red roses/ weather/supply etc, red roses that usually cost £20 a bunch for 20, will go up to £40 a bunch, that's just supply and demand, Valentines day is the same day worldwide, unlike mothers day. And we are in a worldwide market.
