As for me, not yet, touch wood.

If you have been scammed who do you reported it to.

No, although my latest ebay purchase has been delayed. I was lucky to be the only bidder for Elvis Presley's body.

When I told the guy in my local chip shop, he just smirked at me for some reason and then asked, 'Wrapped, sir? uh huh uh?'

Yup!! On my credit card I had no idea until the bank called me. I used it once in Cardiff last year when visiting my fb someone cloned it, booked a nice 4500 holiday. They also used it for a couple of smaller transactions to see if it would work. The bank froze everything and blocked the card from further transactions thank god.

Many years ago at a car auction, I suckered into paying £20 for a small hand-held tone dialler from a random bloke who told me that if I used it instead of the keypad on my home phone the telephone exchange would not bill me for my calls….

Yep …..Sucker…..

However at a later date, I did get my own back on the same guy….

Yes I was one of many that got scammed by my bank in 2007/8 ended up being made bankrupt and losing everything on the back of their fiddle. Now I hear that if I am lucky they may be willing to repay some of the money some time in the future...

Lucky me

Yes, someone set up a standing order from my bank account and took £39.99 a month for over a year before I spotted it.

I got it all back from my bank though once they had investigated it and cleared me

No, I am pretty shrewd, if generous with my trusting nature - but not a mug. A friend sent a lot of money to a gorgeous Russian girl. She missed the first and second flights here, so guess they were both heart broken. Still, Im blonde and can talk with a thick accent, if anyone else needs a make believe Russian sweetie.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

Had my card cloned. Some bugger then attempted to use it to get £3000 worth of goods on it but my bank spotted the unusual activity straight away and prevented it.

Yes my business lost £17,000 in an extremely well planned and orchestrated fraud ...I think a number of small business were targeted.

Can be reported to 'Action Fraud' ...but the chances they'll do anything are very slim

Happened to me too, only cause of my ex bot shielding the pin, I always cover it, but yeah still intrigues me how someone in Peru can rinse out over £1200 from my bank in two days yet I can only draw out £250 a day!

Yes I bought a second hand car for almos 2k and 3 months later the head gasket went was going to cost more than the car was worth to repair so just sold it for scrap at 250. I was devistated as it ruined my new business as a mobile beauty therapist

My driving licence was stolen and unbeknown to me, whilst I applied for and received a replacement licence, DVLA also issued one to the thieves at a different address.

I never found out until I moved house years later and sent my licence back for address change, to be told my licence was invalid, that I had a string of unpaid fines, and that I was disqualified.

Took 18 months to sort out as DVLA start from the premise that they never make mistakes. Eventually, I had amassed a body of evidence gleaned from work diaries and customer company visitors books, to prove I could not have been the person committing the traffic offences. I had to prepare an affidavit and swear on it before a judge in chambers after presenting my evidence.

I did get my licence back, minus my motorcycle entitlement, which then took another 6 months to get sorted.

It still has the wrong place of birth on it, but by the time I noticed, I'd had enough.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Once, by a taxi driver in New York City on my first visit there.

I told him exactly what I thought of him and left it at that. I'd just done an 8 hr flight plus the baggage reclaim and the drive and it was 3am their time. I just wanted to get to bed!

Oh, I've had a few try on eBay but I've always (so far) got refunds eventually.

I get the usual 'phone and email scam attempts.
