A woman and her small son were in a taxi which happened through a red light district in Liverpool..(Other ports are available...)

Seeing groups of "ladies" on street corners, the little boy asks what they were doing.

Carefully the mother replies that they are sailors wives waiting for their husbands to come home.

The taxi driver snorts derisively: " Tell him the truth luv. They're whores son... Whores..."

The mother is less than impressed.

A few moments later, the little boy asks if whores have babies.

Smoothly, the mother assures him: "Yes darling... That's where we get Taxi drivers from..."
