Im wanting to purchase a pair of dc shoes off amazon but they are having to come from america. The final total including p & p comes to 66.46 but would i need to pay any import tax or extra vat?

Yes you'll have to pay import tax, I think it's about 20% plus Royal Mail will charge a fee of at least £8

If the sender marks it as a gift you might get away without paying but there is no certainty of that.

even though thats true, i dont think i have EVER had to pay extra on anything i have had from abroad.

that said, im waiting on something from hong kong and its a little late.

hope customs arent sitting on our bondage cuffs lol

That seems very pricey for a pair of dc shoes everywhere seems to sell them now type dc shoes uk into any search engine and you will probably find the ones your looking for in the uk a lot cheaper and on next day delivery

Its the court graffik ones im after and uk sites dont do the pair that i liked

I often have to buy things from the U.S. because they simply aren't available anywhere else, they have such a massive market there and so many more products. On the plus side if you keep them in good condition they may keep their value because of the rarity here.
