1/3 of the players i said needed to be bought for united.

now £17 mill for shaw, and a centreback, and i reckon they will have a decent chance to move up the table

David Moyes has promised fans of Manchester United that they will be in a major European competition next year... even if he has to write the song himself.

Well I have to smile at the optimism though I doubt Ronaldo will be coming just Rooney going. I would say they now have a chance at 6th maybe even if they are lucky 5th.

To be honest this was always going to be a year of transition as Fergie knew we was lucky to win the title last season with that squad and Moyes need to buy some real quality which Mata is but one egg does not make an omelet. Too many Man U players that would struggle to get in the other top 5 sides.

The reality is they need a charismatic leader as the one they have isn't and frankly he just isn't a winner.

Mata in, now just need to bag Shaw, Rooney will sign for another 5 years.

Need another centre half now and I wouldn't mind us trying to bag Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle.

Rooney won't sign he likes to play where Mata plays Mata is his replacement he's off by August as long as someone is prepared to pay his £12 mill a year wage.

In all honest Utd would be better of without him he dislikes Moyles with a vengeance and it won't work with them. No matter how much wishful thinking he is off to pastures new unless there is a manager change.

I think they've sorted the rift and I think Moyes has a better understanding with Rooney than what SAF did.

Rooneys been playing alot better this season than he was the previous 2.

I think he's been waiting to see what Moyes did in the transfer window to see if United made a serious move to improving the squad which he's doing.

Rooney and Moyes problems are water under the bridge.

if a player is unhappy, you can see it by the way they play, but Rooney is playing out of his skin this season.

he will sign, but not for 5 years. there is, aparently 3 years on the table (on top of the 18 months he already has, so thats 4 half years) and they will be playing a similar system as chelsea with 3 behind the front one (say welbeck/rooney/mata, unless they play rooney and RVP up top with mata as an advanced midfielder.

and yes, Cabaye would be an excellent signing

a centreback is really urgent, unless they are going to play evans and smalling/jones week in week out.

I'm not so confident in Smalling just yet.

I wouldn't mind seeing Shawcross coming back to OT

Ryan shawcross is a great player mind you being a stoke fan I would say that think he would fit in well at Man U if he has got a strong player in the back with him he has shown this season tends to make mistakes without huth with him hate to say it but I think he will leave for a bigger club sooner rather than later. And on mata I think he will make a huge impact on the team

Evans is maturing with every season at the back and I can see him as a future captain.

If Wenger is spouting off about Chelski off loading Mata to United then he is a worried goner!

We need to look at Evans and Jones as the current Bruce and Pallister. I do not think Rafael is the quality we seek. Champions league spot will be a result this year!

Keeper - I have no problem with De Hea, he is learning and growing well.

Defense, Jones, smelling and Evans all have potential to be excellent centre backs. Rafael works his arse off and supports the wing player brilliantly, but needs someone to give him a clip round the ear during a game. Evra can go missing and we have no real cover at either left or right back.

Midfield - young and Nani need to go!!! Carrick is mister reliable, cleverly is still learning. Fletcher is coming back. We need a strong leader in there... Mata, is a great player, but that isn't him.

Up front - Rooney, RVP and wellbeck can terrorise any defense.

We just need a strong leader and I think dropping Rooney into Midfield and making him captain would work.
