A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love

I wonder this, as my sleeping pattern has never been the same, since I had an OP yrs 16ago, And I really need my sleep, I can fall asleep within seconds but most night I wake up between 2 and 4 Four o'clock, then I can't get back to sleep for hours some times then I fall asleep again.

What about you?

On average we are best with 7 to 9 hours sleep at one go, to include the hours between 2am and 4 am, if at all possible.

Our genetic body clock is programmed to switch off our concious mind, and slow down our organs, to re charge and replenish them.

The majority of people die between those hours with no medical intervention.

Many people say they need much less sleep, and they appear to function fine.

If you have problems sleeping there are many remedies, the first is finding an 8 hour period that suits you, and making it a routine time.

The second is to prepare a place to sleep that is restful and calm, and most of all were you feel secure and safe.

The third is to spend 30 minutes, de stressing before you lay down,

If you still cant sleep or wake up, try putting one foot on the floor, its called grounding, the energy that prevents sleep will drain away, usually within 3 minutes, your foot always ends up back in bed. ( don't try this if your in the top bunk!)

A lot of people wake up after 8 hours sleep feeling tired, as if they haven't slept, that happens because you haven't let go of stress or prepared to sleep, before you get to bed, so can be changed.

My Own Little World

I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and rarely wake during the night. Last night was a good 8.5 hours. But I can survive on 5 hours of good sleep.

You know that sounds too bizarre to be true, but something tells me it is.....?

I go out like a light 99% of the time thankfully, but should get to sleep earlier - it does seem to be true that an hour before midnight is worth two after, but I can just never get there nowadays....

I sleep a very deep sleep, I normally wake up in the same position I went to sleep in. Due to shift work I never get enough sleep though 3 to 5 hours on an early shift and maybe 7 or 8 on a late shift.

Central

Probably 7 hours or so, but lately been having poor nights, up at 3, even if only asleep at 1. Transition is a stress load, and recently had a fairly major load, inc family deaths. More sex and exercise helps, so any instructors out there, come and get both underway. Regular hours helps, but I am a sucker for late nights.

I have a cyclic insomnia, at the naff part I may be awake for up to three days, I might get the occasional 2-3 hours sleep (which I prefer)

Then there is the flip side where my body shuts down and I can sleep14+ hours coma style - the longest continual sleep I've had was just shy of 30 hours .

Sun-Thursday I go to bed at 9:30ish then wake up at 11:34 (always seems to be exactly the same time) and about 2 again then get up at 6:30. I probably have 8 hours a night in total. The weekends it's the opposite and only have a few hours on a Friday and Saturday night normally between 4-7.

"Well I'm just of to bed, I'll post as soon as I get up then I'll know how many hours I've had. "

I posted eight hours ago so I've had about 7 1/2 hours. Not too bad for a Friday night.

Mon - Thurs I sleep really well. Not so much at the weekends though.
