Paignton zoo is banning monkeys from eating Bananas! How cruel is that?

They say bananas have lots of calories and contain much more sugar that's bad for their teeth and can lead to diabetes and similar conditions. I thought they were one of your 5 a day?

Poor Monkeys, although if they do overload on fruit, some are naturally high in sugars which attacks the enamel on teeth, its an ongoing problem, for dentists, (not just monkey ones)

I was sat in my car admiring how cool they are when they proceded to start ripping off anything they could.

Tore my front Number plate off and snapped my wing mirror.

I am type 2 Diabetic, I aim to have a blood sugar rating between 4.5 and 7.0

If I eat a banana, my blood sugar levels shoot up to over 20.00 which causes problems, for vision, circulation and heart, but it drops pretty quickly, ideally you try and avoid peaks and troughs.

I use to buy half a ton of carrots every week for my horses ( 7 horses )

and use to juice a pound a day for myself, which made half pint of carrot

juice, until dietician pointed out, that's one contributing factor to my diabeties.

Now horses don't get carrots and I limit myself to maybe one a week.

They actually eat fruits, nuts, leaves, seeds, insects, birds’ eggs, and spiders. I would stick with the bananas.
