I used to have a Tarantula, called it Vince cause it was a bit creepy.

Was always a talking point at parties, specially when I would just walk into the kitchen with it sat on my shoulder

At well as the dog, cat and guinea pig. We have a couple of snakes and a fish tank full of marine fish and corals.

Think the fish tank is the most expensive thing in the house, including the car lol.

I have a pet rock called Cedric who lives in the garden. He doesn't need fed, watered or walked.

Come on, I can barely look after myself never mind another living creature

my sister has had lots of weird pets

spiders, scorpions, snakes (my nephew got a snake for his 2nd birthay ), bosc monitor, nile monitor, and an iguana

the iggy is cool, except if he gets scared then he either runs over you ith his mega sharp claws or whips you with his tail which fecking hurts

but the coolest pets she ever had were 2 sugar gliders - dead cute little marsupials. they had babies while she had them but they were too much work for her when she had her baby so got rid of them. they bloody stunk though due to all the fruit they ate

I have a One-eyed Purple Pussy Pleasurer and you only have to feed it one pussy per day and it's happy as fuck - it loves feeling warm you see. It also loves being held tightly whenever it's released which is the one drawback... well actually it's about 50, very fast, in rapid succession.

yes it is a know thing with Iguanas, that they only like to have one owner, and they can also be very temperamental when a woman is on, it it is a male.

Hmm . . .pets ?

Apart from the assortment of strange men I keep in the bottom shed, we have had a horse, 4 dogs, 6 cats, a royal python, a number of fish and 3 sons.

The last cat is still in residence.

I used to have a burmese python but he out grew my house to the point i couldnt accommodate him anymore, males are only supposed to grow to around 12ft in captivity but he far out grew this, so sadly i had to let him go, he ended up in twycross zoo for breeding programme they was doing and as far as im awake hes still there

Snakes actually make great pets, so long as they dont our grow your house lol

You don't need to worry about the snakes. It's the owner, she devours things whole

I hope she had the relevant paperwork from Animal Health as it is illegal to keep wild injured birds without it.

I`m pretty sure she did. She actually took them over from somone else. She kept them in a quiet corner of her garden and maintained the least contact with them as she could so they kept pretty close to the wild as she could. My ex gf would remove any eggs that she could but once the barn owls wouldn`t her get near them and they hatched them. Despite the chicks being raised by wild parents, she was not allowed to release them to the wild.

I keep stick insects. I know, a bit of a bizarre "pet" but it was a random last minute xmas pressie for my daughter a few years ago. You buy the tank and send off for the eggs in the post that hatch after about 6 weeks of arrival.

They live for around a year, are A-sexual so they just lay eggs without breeding that hatch after 4-6 months of being laid. The only problem I have with them is that they only eat privet hedge leaves and the only source is about a mile from my home!

They don't really do much, bit boring to be honest. I've kept iggys, monitor lizards, snakes, gecko's, tropical fish and most other normal domestic pets in the past (apart from dogs strangely enough). Would love a Boxer but I live in a flat at the moment so it's not practical.

I'm waffling...off to hunt privet hedge leaves now

"I've been toying with the idea of getting an Iguana but I'm still a little unsure, anyone here have an unusual Pet besides their other half "

Iguana's get really big so you have to have the room in your house to build a big vivarium for them. Imo animals like reptiles birds etc should be left in the wild and not kept as domestic pets in cages etc but thats just my opinion. If I was you Id do a lot of research before you rush into anything like that speak to the pros people in the know etc

Reno used to have one and yes they are easy to own just make sure you put the lid back on as his escaped a few times and when they shed their skin you get another spider to scare the shit out of your mates x
