The little oik Justin(e) Bieber has been arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana, resisting arrest and having an expired licence.

Shame they've not charged him for crimes against humanity....

Of course I don't think it's right but young men and women the world over test their boundaries in exactly the same way. Some get caught, or worse, and it can ruin their lives forever. Thankfully, no one was hurt on this occasion.

Yes, they have to learn a lesson but worldwide condemnation isn't usually meted out to a stupid, reckless teenager.

So, because he's rebelling against his image and he's young he doesn't fully understand the consequences of his actions, yet he's 'responsible' (read that as rich) enough to drive a car capable of over 200mph. There's an irony in there somewhere....

You don't need to be responsible to drive a car. Kids his age are driving cars like nob heads all the time on the street only they don't have his budget so driving corsa's or fiesta at dangerous speeds in built up areas. Give them a few million and they would do the same damage if not more.

I have never said money and youth is a good mix but, apart from the role model bit, is it any difference to teenagers who borrow their parent's powerful car and drive under the influence? Young people all over the place are driving very powerful cars. There is no law here or in the USA restricting young people to cars capable of no more than 70mph.

Agreed but I would counter that usually insurance costs inhibit your average 19yr old from driving most high powered cars (without the assistance of their parents).

I really don't think it works like that with most young people. You understand brains and brain chemistry better than I do but I know from observation and knowing young people that they don't learn hard lessons in an abstract way. His brain chemistry may well be tilted towards being reckless anyway - it takes an awful lot of something to get up in front of millions every day and put yourself out there, let alone at the time of your life when you are finding out who and what you are.

Yes, he should be punished but I don't believe he should be condemned forever.

He's a superstar with loads of dosh he won't be treated like ordinary Joe Bloggs which I think is wrong, what example is that setting to his young and impressionable fans?

Let's not forget he is Canadian and what if he was ordinary Canadian caught drag racing and under the influence of drugs? He'd get his ass kicked back to Canada that's for sure. But no he will get a slap on the wrists and sent on his way and he will of learnt that he can get away with whatever he wants.

When he was stopped by the police the officer said he was mad at the officer for stopping him like he had the right to drive over 60mph on a 30 road in a high speed car!

Paul Walker was burnt to death in a high speed crash only a few months back and this idiot is drag racing under the influence, he could of killed himself and others and that should be taken seriously and not shrugged off as oh well he's young lots of teenagers do it, doesn't make it right! Let him face responsibility for his actions.

The reason he acts like such a spoilt brat is because no one is telling him no and haven't done so for all of his teens so he think he can do whatever he likes and not have to answer to anyone, that can't carry on longterm, cause it will only lead to his downfall. I suspect a spell in rehab in the not Too distant future.

plus the fact he was Waving and Smiling when he was let out on bail tells me he does not give a fuck about being in trouble.

"I never got the hate for Justin Bieber tbh

If I was 19 and a multi millionaire I would do (not as stupid) but crazy things aswell lol"

Bieber spat on his fans from a hotel balcony while laughing with his mates. I am sure he has other stuff to create the hate some people feel for him.

It's the green eyed monster I reckon "

Totally agree,It wasn't exactly the crime of the century.

It's one thing not to like someone's music..

And quite another,to hate the person due to it.
