I'm looking after my 6 month old niece for a couple of hours while my sister is at my other nieces school.

I'd forgotten how much guess work is involved with babies...every time she cries I'm going through the checklist in my head,

So far we've had nappy change, tired and hungry....

kinky land

Chuck them in the car. Drive round in circles.

It works, even when mine are ill

i feel a cold sweat coming.

hate babies.

tears start they go back to mummy n daddy.

V is very maternal.

me, not a bit of it. lol

i even tell her kids im the same as them cuz we all sucked her tits.

it doesnt go down well, and i generally get a slap off V for my efforts lol

i just talk to kids like adults, but forget where the cutoff is

V asked if i wanted a baby with her when we got together.

her youngest is now 11, so i said it wouldnt be fair on her.

she has decided fostering would be a better option, so now we are looking into it

Had you mentioned this on Tuesday I'd have given you some diazepam. They sleep for hours that way!

Babies are awesome and I can't help smiling when I see them.

My little girl is not so little at 16 now and my son who lives with his mum is coming up to 3 years old now so I guess I have to wait a few years now to rock a baby again.

I love babies. The working through all the crying things to the smiles and cuddles is just part of the deal.

Brighton - even Hove!

I looked after our babies from 6months to about 2. I was often the only dad in the park or babygroup or mothercare.

I helped get the debenhams policy changed cos I complained a huge amount because they only had a mother and baby room and no where for me to change their nappies. They have parent and baby rooms now.

Gosh! Sounds like a mini Thursday rant!

No it doesn't. It sounds like you identified an issue and pressed for positive change.

My ideal job would be working with babies, then leaving them at the end of the day!

babies are easy - its teenagers that are the problem. Oh and grown men!

North Bristol

Yayy babies! lol.

I have a weekend of babies coming up. Stopping at a friends to meet their 4 week old tomorrow and then on home to see the family and my 14 week old nephew who will be sleeping in with us on Sat night (shhhhh, *Him* doesn't know this yet!)

Oh, he's teething too (the baby, not *Him* )

I figured we're gonna have to do it soon so might as well get some practice in!

I can't wait.

*Her*
