What would you prefer, the list simply says "pulse" and you risk meeting somebody who has fucked anything that moves. We all have preferences. Some will be on profiles. Some you will discover by messages. Doesn't make any reason for decline an 'excuse'.

So long as a reason doesn't contradict someone's stated preferences there's no reason to complain. Clarity is everything and any 'preference' should be respected.
