missed the thread from last night, and some of the comments were, to say the least, absurd.

he was interviewed on the radio and from what i can glean, he isnt actually THAT bothered about what is being said to him, as he has had it all his life (on the terraces as well as on the streets)

the whole reason he is highlighting the problem are for those that cant take it.

the kids that commit suicide because of online bullying

the gay teenagers that fear they cant be who they want to be, because they will get abused over the internet by faceless fuckwits.

he has stated catagorically he is a grown up and can take it on the chin.

i for one back his stance, as havve talksport and have suspended all their accounts on twitter and will not promote the site whilst they are seen to be doing nothing.

so, these are the actual reasons, from the horses mouth, why he is making waves.

nothing to do with self publicising

nothing to do with diverting attention from his past

and practically nothing to do with him personally.

he is trying to be a conduit to twitter sorting their shit out

The Trouble with Highlighting these problems via the Media is that the Divs carrying out the Cyber bullying get a kick out of the publicity it makes them feel big in front of their mates, The only things that will stop them is either to get their collars felt hard or their so called friends to tell them what saddos they are

good.

dont read newpapers anymore, but find it a little distasteful the tabloids are dragging collymores past up as if to say h has no right to complain about bullying, as if they are trying to bully him into stopping complaining about twitter.

anyone know if news corp and its ilk have shares in the medium at all?

ulrika wrote in her column that he shouldn't be given a platform to act like a victim. A stance that was echoed in the thread on here.

I think it's sad that people think that once you have done something bad you give up your right for support and protection from further wrong doing.

I understand for her this is more personal than the randoms on here that were suggesting he deserved it but I also think it's unhealthy for her yo continue to carry her anger towards him around.
