Usually Nescafé Gold blend unless there is something on offer in Tescos as nice or nicer.

I do like a coffee now and again - I think maybe I overdo it on the caffeine actually but that's just me.

Freshly ground coffee or branded from a supermarket - quite nutty and I guess around strength 4. Nicely brewed for 10 - 15 minutes in a cafetiere. Mrs Z can washes it later as I find the ground coffee to cumbersome to clean!

Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman.

It's got to be hot.

You've got to take your time.

You've got to stir... gently and firmly.

You've got to grind your beans until they squeak... And then you put in the milk.

Words of wisdom from Swiss Tony

I've stopped drinking it in work but that used to be instant. I now only drink proper filtered coffee as a treat when I go out for lunch.

Of course thats when I'm not drinking Indonesian Palm Civet ground droppings!

Partly digested and then excreted by the Common palm civet, a weasel-like animal.

“Kopi” the Indonesian word for coffee along with “luwak” is local name of this animal which eats the raw red coffee beans. The civet digests the soft outer part of the coffee cherry, but does not digest the inner beans and excretes them.

£50 a cup are some people mad

I'm no sophisticat, at home it's Nescafe Gold Blend. And when out, cappuccino or latte.

Although to round off a special meal, a proper Gaelic coffee goes down rather well!

I get mine for the same price from Amazon.

For my one and only cup of coffee in the morning, I buy Alta Rica that I consider to be the best instant coffee on the market.

2 heap teaspoonsful of coffee, 4 of sugar and plenty of double cream in a cup; increase to 3 of coffee and 6 of sugar and increase the amount of double cream accordingly at weekend in a larger cup.
