If you have a job which say is of a sensitive nature then posting revealing pictures on a public website maybe a breach of an employment contract. For instance if you work in a security capacity and post revealing photos then the world at large theatrically could use them in a illegal way. Private messages on the other hand whilst could be used in the same way may not be in breach of contract.

If I message it on here it can.

It's simple for me: if you're not comfortable with having face pics in private on here as I do then we're not likely to get on. In which case I wish them well and move on.

I keep all contact on here after having a stalker to whom I had given certain contact info so I will not exchange numbers (not even a play phone) or email, Skype, bbm or kik info. That is my choice and my way of using the site just as others choose not to have pics.

I blocked one guy tho as he was way to defensive about showing his pic ...

For me it's about attraction & I don't wanna waste time messaging if it isn't there.

According to my contract of employment and my employers social media guidelines. Whatever I post online whether pictures or statements is fine as long as it is legal and in no way affiliated to, or mentions them. Hence why my face pics are public. Obviously if the contract changes then my profile will change accordingly...

I live in a very small community where everyone knows everyone's business and although i haven't put exactly where i live on here, so far i have found at least 5 profiles that are on my own doorstep. So it's not really only concealing yourself for your job it's from the people you chat in your local etc.

Really, I cant think of any...

Could you name just 1 job where posting a face (or nude) picture here would cause you to lose your job? And just to be clear jobs where being a member of this (or any other sex site) would be cause for immediate removal of security clearance and dismissal do not count as being a member of this site is why you would loose your job.

We can understand someone hiding their facial pic so its not on display when clicking on their profile, forum posts & profiles etc can come up on a Google search so if their job/family/social standing means trouble its not worth it.

We shoot many profile pics for people on here blurring faces on some pics for their piece of mind, we do like to see facial pics of people before we meet anyone but this can be done by PM.

I have my face pic for my friends and I can attach it to a message if I wish. I won't share e mail address anymore since gaining a stalker and I'll only give my mobile out when a meet had been arranged.

If someone won't show their face pic on here then I'll stop conversation. We all have a job / family / nosey neighbours. You have to show an element of trust or what's the point of being here. It's not blind date after all.

If you are so reliant on being anonymous by not posting photos on this site, then don't you think that its for a good reason your employer would take a dim view of it, and you should take your profile off altogether?

Alternatively if someone you know or work with spots your pic and then approaches you then its a matter of asking one simple question, what were they doing on the site in the first place, they cannot access anything on here without first posting their own profile.

Social services, police, judge, teacher, MP, working with kids/elderly people & lots more.

Swinging is thought of as seedy by the status quo & employers simply don't like it.

I get recognized in super markets, pubs & of course this site because of my adult sites & John even though he wasn't in them at the time was sacked from social services so yes be wary.

Quite simply, if you email a pic from an anonymous email account you can distance yourself from it should it be used against you.

Some people have it in their contracts that behaviour, such as swinging, would hold them in breach of their employment contract. I understand that people from the armed forces can be sacked and lose their pensions if found being on sites like this.

Other people see it as a personal security thing.

I have my pics on my friends list and I am very selective who I accept as friends.

I would never meet anyone without a face pic, but I would be happy for that to be sent through here, email or MMS.

Remember Neil Hamilton MP, he lost his job for taking brown bags of money to ask questions in parliament not for swinging. In fact they were quite militantly open about attending swinging parties while he was an MP.

And I think you will find that if there are grounds for dismissal in any of the other jobs it would be 'being a member of this site' not posting a photo on this site.

From a male perspective, if a man wants to chat to a women on here he must show his face to see if she is attracted to him. If the mans job is so important that he can't show a pic on here, then maybe he should concentrate more on his career and get of a swing site.

Viewed from my eyes, for a women they have the upper hand, and often and all cases for me. Get to see a face pic first unless they are already showing one on the profile. It bothers me that I make the effort show my face in the first message and the fem reads it but has no manners to write a no thanks.

Face pic or not I wouldn't want to meet her then anyway. So it's a rough ride these face pics. End of the day men need to show if ya wanna get anywhere.

The above poster is making absolute sense, as well as some others.

Public sector workers may be in breach of their contracts, particularly those in vetted roles. I like the doctor and police officer examples. Imagine if a the local GP or Superintendent has pics that could identify them? Is a shag worth destroying your career over!

I see the OP as a rant and hopefully the question has been answered on why people do not message face pics.

As for others who are proudly saying that they have face pics on their profile and do not understand why other's don not - respect other people's choices!

I never accept this as a reason. Anyone sending pic by email or mns can have it copied same as on fab if are like that.

Only folk i know and trust have my number or email.

"its ridicolous, what he does with his life is upto him lol

No being in certain jobs means you could be open to blackmail & your judgement swayed so being a copper & having face pics on here is not wise.

Imagine a doctor caught on camera in awkward sexual pics...would any of his patients feel safe to see him anymore if he was featured in the local paper?

The above poster is making absolute sense, as well as some others.

Public sector workers may be in breach of their contracts, particularly those in vetted roles. I like the doctor and police officer examples. Imagine if a the local GP or Superintendent has pics that could identify them? Is a shag worth destroying your career over!

I see the OP as a rant and hopefully the question has been answered on why people do not message face pics.

As for others who are proudly saying that they have face pics on their profile and do not understand why other's don not - respect other people's choices! "

The way to destroy your career or get blackmailed is to hide your interests, if you are open, people can make informed decisions,

If you think its wrong on moral or ethical grounds, or if your cheating, then maybe your on the wrong site,

Having pics in pvt is no way to stop being exposed.

Indent show my face pic in profile for one reason .. And that involves my job .

It's that simple . I'm not ashamed of what we do or who we are but there are certain things I can do in my private life that could see me facing disciplinary or even dismissal

I'm not 100 % sure about fab but don't really wanna ask my manager either so they will stay private

I ain't losing my job for anyone

We send pics privately without hesitation

Providing you are verified and we've messaged each other before

I think you are seeing this with a narrow view.

It is people's choice whether they want the world to know whether they are swingers. It is not always about being exposed and your career being affected. It is quite simply about discretion.

We have a wonderful life away from swinging and we choose not to tell anybody such as friends, family and neighbours. How does that equate to us being on the wrong site?

For the record, I was last year in a public services role that was vetted. Meeting people for sex would more than likely be frowned upon but it's our personal choice whether we join Fab or not. As long as we are savvy on who we share photos with and remain discrete then there are no problems.

"If you have a job which say is of a sensitive nature then posting revealing pictures on a public website maybe a breach of an employment contract. For instance if you work in a security capacity and post revealing photos then the world at large theatrically could use them in a illegal way. Private messages on the other hand whilst could be used in the same way may not be in breach of contract.

Really, I cant think of any...

Could you name just 1 job where posting a face (or nude) picture here would cause you to lose your job? And just to be clear jobs where being a member of this (or any other sex site) would be cause for immediate removal of security clearance and dismissal do not count as being a member of this site is why you would loose your job."

Yes I can....I'm currently suspended from work for having pictures online! as according to the organisation I work for I have 'brought there reputation into disrepute'. We find that those who's profession prevents them having face pics either in friends only or private so they can attach to messages on here, probably work in such a way that we would be incompatible.

It works the opposite way too. We tend not to meet people with their faces on show in public as it suggests a lack of discretion.

Either way it seems it works as an effective filter.

Regardless, there's nothing anybody can do about it other than whinge and moan.

I have a little bit of knowledge about staff discipline and employment law. Firstly, your profile has no face pics yet you are facing disciplinary proceedings for bringing your job into disrepute.

Please seek advice if you haven't already done so from a human rights lawyers, who ideally specialises in employment law too. You have a right to live your life how you want, and employers can only restrict you so much. Bringing your job into disrepute seems weak unless there is more to it?

Get advice for right to a private life.

I have spent many years in a public services role, where I was involved in the disciplinary process towards colleagues and advice management.

I now run my own company with a small workforce and I can ensure that many employers get it wrong.

We lost our jobs because of naughty pics pics/films etc & to top it the newspapers then splashed it everywhere, we lost what we trained hard for but was lucky enough to use that same media to recreate ourselves in something else.

I think with the police you also have to consider that swingers are also criminals. A criminal may end up viewing the profile of somebody who has arrested them and might want revenge or could just troll them. yes it can happen to doctors and other public figures but the hatred towards police from a criminal can be quite strong.

It would be the height of stupidity if a police officer had their faces on their public photos for this very reason. Even more stupid if they put they were a police officer on their profile as it opens you up to extorion and blackmail.

Yes, I'm concerned about my work finding this and me being disciplined. Like others have demonstrated - it happens!

Personally I don't have face pics on here - my choice. It's already been said but if I email you my face pic or Skype you it's less likely my face can be tracked back to this site than if I send one directly from here.

Yes I've got naked pictures, but I'm also very discreet. Horses for courses, different people are comfortable with different things and we should all accept that!

We both work in "education". So we keep our face pics private until the right time.

Between us, we probably see about a thousand adults every day, any one of them could rumble us. Its not that we are ashamed of this, its just that if word got out around our work place, we would lose our jobs, thus our homes, and our lives.

Keeping your face pics private until asked makes the most sense. It doesn't mean we never send them. It just means we keep them private.

Anybody that can't understand that would be somebody we wouldn't want to meet anyway, to be fair. Theres more to life. C xx

we have private face pics.

neither of us have jobs that would be compromised, but on the other hand, neither of us wants to shout from the rooftops that we are on this site, so are as discrete as we need to be.

we will never meet without exchanging face pics privately, no need to have them out there for all to see, not really a fan of those profiles that do have them out there, for some reason.

would rather not exchange email addresses cuz they are linked to basefook, so why would we comprimise our own secrecy so you dont have to compromise yours? (not targetted at anyone in particular)

We would go along with that although we do like to see a face picture we can understand people not wanting to send one knowing it could be clipped with fabswingers.com embossed along the bottom. We see no problem with people choosing not to send one even if they know it will lessen their chances.
