There had been allegations in a programme broadcast by Yorkshire television that the four bomb explosions in Dublin in May 1974 killing 33 civilians had been the work of the illegal Ulster volunteer force (UVF) aided by elements in the security forces.

He was aged 83

Stu you hav'nt mentioned that 2 firefighters sadly died whilst trying to control a fire in a block of flats in Southampton

Thoughts are with their families and their colleagues as im sure all will be totally devastated today and for a long time
