To us it means a play on words. In France it means nothing as the word "entendre" is French like some people claim it is. Same with the word "encore". To the people who speak English it has a meaning, but to the French the word is meaningless as its not French word. There are other words too that are the same.

Yep I can honestly say U have eaten a small lettuce at this time of night. It was in a pitta with other salad and a fair bit of donna meat but I did eat it.

Basically I meant that if you were speaking French to someone or shouted "encore" in a French theatre. You would have strange looks as to them its gibberish. It may mean something hear, but not over there. Even though we say its French

Lettuce is so overrated.

It's all about Jaffa Cakes at this time of night - eating it til you feel sick and regretting it.

..then, beginning some star jumps in your bedroom and dreading the morning gym session. So, to compensate you eat a banana and some milk.

Just to balance everything.

In France they call "Bis" which means twice, as in biscuit. They want a second time.

They also call "Encore" which means more or again.

The phrase "double entendre" means a second hearing, as in double take, and is used in argot as having a double sense/meaning.
