Suspended by the Lib Dems.

Not sure on this one. Not enough evidence to find him guilty but the general consensus seems to be "he did it".

Thoughts?

Inquiry says not guilty, to force him to apologise would be to force him to plead guilty despite the findings of the inquiry.... all a bit warped I think.

Not enough or no evidence to say he did anything. Until he's proven guilty he should be allowed to keep his position. Clegg, as usual, is being an arse. Trying to force him to apologize and therefore admit guilt....

Because it politics, it's not what you do or don't do, it's about court of public opinion. There have been a few playboy politicians (one a senior lib dem) but if the public like them "he's just one of the boys" they get away with it. Unfortunately for this guy, he doesn't have much going for him so comes across as a sleaze.

They have only suspended him not hung him I dont know the facts most dont know the real ones as the press is full of shite so will wait for the outcome on this.

This is a legal wrangle. It has been deiced that there is not enough evidence to launch a successful prosecution against him. However if he says sorry, then he's admitting his guilt. So by saying sorry, those women would then be able to successfully sue him. So he's not going to apologise. Simples!

This was an organisation that had lots of staff complain about his behaviour but did nothing, so were complicit with him, once one woman had complained. The party may want to show one face, but their employment practices and voting through of shameful tory policies very clearly show their true identity. The ministerial jags etc are very attractive and a pain to give up. Most pople would be suspended as soon as a gross misconduct allegation is made. That sleazy party, carry on regardless.

In English law there is only two judgements, guilty or not guilty. We also have the phrase innocent until proven guilty.

In English law there is only two judgements, guilty or not guilty. We also have the phrase innocent until proven guilty."

& we actually call some of our peers, 'LORD', - regardless if they happen to be a crooked politician, jailbird or otherwise!!!
