Two things really. Is it possible for someone to work out your username if you don't use it anywhere else? Also apart from blocking them, etc. Is there a way you report a user and maybe get their account removed?

What do you mean work out your username? People can only add you if you give them your username! And why would you want to report and get an account removed? They can just set up another one like people do on Fab! Just block them if you dont want any contact!

Well a random messaged me. Someone I have never spoken to before or know. I haven't left my details anywhere. So how would they be able to message me as they couldn't have guessed my name as my name isn't the same as anything else? You are right I suppose, but surely after adding accounts all the time. They will get bored and stop creating accounts?

They were probably trying to add someone else and got the username wrong.

You can make up a random name of your choice and if someone is using it you can contact them. Its a bit of a non issue really.

How would you feel if someone you didn't know added you and started speaking to you and you knew you didn't leave your contact details anywhere? Then once they know what you look like. They pester you to join some site. So I am thinking if they remove that account ASAP. My picture would also be removed as the account doesn't exist no more.

Neither do I. It's probably a mistake so just block. I cant understand why you would want to report anyone or get their account removed just because they messaged you and you don't know who they are

They can type in someone's first name, like mine for instance, and it'll come up with everyone listed with that name

Acted nice, got a bit flirty. Sent a photo shall we say and then they were asking me non stop to join some site. After saying no persistently. They've gone quiet. But now I am thinking they can put that photo on that site if they want to and I can't see it unless I join. So if I report the user. Their messages will be deleted as the account would be deleted too.

They probably picked a random name or made a mistake.

If they want you to join another site it will likely be a team contacting a lot of random people to try to con them on to a scam site. It's common via spam email now, and happened frequently on msn messenger, so it was only a matter of time before it happened on kik.

So what exactly are you going to report them for? Accepting a pic you sent? And report them to who? They would have saved your pic as soon as you sent it! Just block them and don't send pics to unknowns in future!

get over it once a pic is on the netits a risk we all more you chase websites to remove pic you will need proof its actually you and that a criminal offence has taken place.

I was being nice too. For me.

At least, I was trying to be helpful and not too mean.

I wouldn't worry about it. I've had all sorts of photos all over the net for twenty or so years now. Some of them are really rude. I've yet to have a big problem from it.

You made a mistake, and a relatively minor one at that. Do an occasional reverse image search if it makes you feel better but don't worry about it. It's very unlikely anything will come of it.
