Why is it you see on women's profiles that men need to make an effort. They want more than one liners and a face pic, now I have no problem with that. So we write a paragraph introducing ourselves and supply a pic and wait. Now not everybody is going to fancy everybody I understand that but surely a thanks but no thanks isn't much to ask after they want guys to make an effort.

Yes, that intrigues me as well. I don't know why, when one makes an effort to message, one doesn't get a response. Puzzling, really. It's why I hardly ever send messages.

Do you reply to all the mail in the post trying to sell things ? No. I guess they don't reply either as its too work intensive.

I often dont reply to people purely because i know its guna start a convo that i really cannot be arsed to have. Plus i dont really like replying back saying sorry not for me sort of thing cause i feel they will ask me 21 questions why etc. X

Just because you send a message doesn't mean you are entitied to a reply. Lots of people read profiles before even reading a message, or look for pics, veris etc.

Some don't reply as it just leads to abuse, or why not? Or they think even of you've said no then that's opened up a conversation.

Not sure why people would like an inbox of no thanks messages tbh. I'd prefer to log on and see 1 or 2 messages that were positive instead of 20 turning me down!

Wouldn't mind 20 messages turning me on personally I love lots of rejection messages, they make me feel better about bashing myself non stop

Welcome to the forums OP but just a quick glance at the site rules and you'll see that not responding isn't considered as rude. And complaining about it shows an air of desperation.

Christ all those women that are in here solely for the attention and to feel like they are the sexiest things alive would go into melt down, there would be a flurry of gp appointments booked and a whole load of anti depressants prescribed

People look at profiles before opening messages! That way they can avoid the hassle of reading a message from someone incompatible with what they want.

Your forum post is five times bigger than the text on your profile. You have no visible pics - regardless of the content of your message and any pics you send - people will want to browse you and see the level of effort you've put in before deciding whether to reply!

Possibly the reason you are struggling to get replies!
