notts

put an item on fleabay yesterday afternoon, due to end on sunday.

already it has 97 people watching it but no bids.

if people are interested, why not just bid your maximum and forget about it til auction ends??

there are too many people sniping on there these days

Everyones after a bargain. Why bid 100 quid when you may get an item for 70. It aint against the rules to watch an item.

and yet im certain you do that too dont you?

course you do.

i dont moan about people trying to snipe others, as i do it all the time.

its the way of the world.

its a bullshit way round anyway, cuz its not an auction site.

auctions end wen no one else bids on it, and thats how it should be on ebay.

put it on one day, its on for 3 days, then if it hasnt been bid on, in say 24 hours after that, it gets ended and the last bid is it, otherwise it stays on until people stop bidding.

but no, thats too easy lol

My brother makes a very good living buying and selling on ebay, he usually waits till the last seconds to make a bid, that's his method and it works well for him, he doesn't actually need the items he buys, he is just out to make as much money as possible.

he has given up his job as a research scientist, as he clears more money from dealing on ebay, and has more time at home with his family.

97 watchers? that's a lot compared to what my stuff gets. I watch things, I don't bid until towards the end. its fun however you do it, don't worry too much, if you have 97 watchers im sure plenty of those are bidders to be

Some people watch because theyre interested what itll fetch because theyve got a similsr item. Id say if its got so many watchers itll do well. Some people dont bid, they employ a sniper

Early bids drive up the price. Last minute bids are a trusted tactic for hardened ebayers. Also, never bid a whole amount....for instance £5. add a bit on, say £5.17. People who bid early tend to bid whole amounts 10p, 20p, £1, £2 so if add a couple of pence so your bid you can beat the bastards

Do I need to spend less time on eBay?

I only ever put a snipe bid that automatically goes in at the last 5 seconds, i don't get into bidding wars and force the price up.

Best way to sell on ebay is to offer the item for a very high, buy it now price, people love a bargain so will offer you half your buy it now price, click on accept, and its a win win situation, buyer thinks they have a bargain, and you get what you wanted! "

I agree No point at all showing any interest until seconds before the item closes.. If I bid early people know im interested . If I put in the automatic bid it goes up as others bid. So I decide how much I will pay and put the full figure in with a few seconds to go. Got a great pair of patio curtains for 11.30 heavy silk lined ones .. had some very good deals lately. wassup with being a sniper anyway ??

I like to watch things that I have, that I might want to sell one day, to see what it's worth.
