if an ex got back in touch with you after a few years and wanted to try again ..and the real reason you split up with them was they bored you sexually. You try the subtle way saying you not interested but they not getting the hint ...would you be honest and tell them ???

No, I'd make sure I would give them a definite NO and not a hint! If you weren't honest and told him the reason why at the time, why tell him now AFTER you've split up?

Why go back you already split for a reason no need to bring back old memories..

"Never go Back keep on moving forward"

I'm the same I believe you can't go back! You have to go forward. And if the relationship was stormy then bad memories surface!.........Not good and yes I know from experience

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I wouldn't get back with a man who bored me sexually. In fact I have broken up with men who have done so. However, if he's spent the break getting sexual tips and practice I would have another go, just to make sure.

When someone waits a few years to try and give it another go they tend to be looking for an easy option whilst other options are thin on the ground.

My ex has been in touch recently after years of not speaking. I'm polite to him but nothing more.

Since he doesn't appear to be communicating his feelings to you directly you don't need to worry about telling him anything. Communication doesn't seem to have been a massive feature of the relationship at any point if he still isn't aware that you were bored.

Peaky Nipples

If everything else was fine in the relationship, and he actually speaks to you directly, a simple; I'm happy for us to be good/ close friends but we didn't work as a couple (hence why we split up) should do it.

I can never see the point in saying things just to be hurtful. If he pushes for reasons why you didn't work, then being incompatible sexually sounds less harsh than you bore me

Two things in life I never go back to

A job and an ex, if they didn't work the first go it's not going to change the second, plus there is history to contend with as well.

It's always a polite no from me, no need to be mean though it could shatter someones confidence.

I believe in moving forward and not looking back. When it's over it's over.

I am polite to ll my exes, there was something there once, no need to be weird and stalkerish just because they are an ex

I'm sure there were other reasons for them to become an ex? Honesty and communication would have been good if the only reason there an ex was the sex. I think you owe it to them to let them know so they can improve for possibly their new partner.

There are 2 sides to every story, raking up the past is never a good idea, the time to have sorted this out, was before you broke up. The past cant be repaired, so stop looking for excuses, and don't look for excuses why you failed, learn, let go and move on.

Yes, I used 'I've moved on sexually and enjoy different things now' before.

Although it wasn't exactly an 'ex' per se'

No I see no good reason to make someone feel bad about themselves with that information. Just say straight out that no you do not want to get back together, you don't have to give a reason, even if pushed for one.
