Oral sex is a lower risk than penetrative sex...not risk free but lower, just like safer sex if lower risk but still has some risks. Everyone who has sex, never mind swings, decided to take a risk...it's up to the individual how much risk they choose to take. I don't like giving oral with condoms and have decided this is a risk I am ok with as the chances of me catching something from oral is much less than penetration. My choice is condoms for penetration and regular testing at the clinic just in case...so far so good!

As someone with qualifications in statistics it is stunning in the extreme the amount of statements of risk, probability and statistics on here in both directions

People perceive risk in something they are adverse to, whether that's bareback, oral without protection or whatever they don't like generally higher than the evidence can justify

And perceive risk in something they enjoy to be lower than the evidence suggests

I would generally advise not listening to most on the forums in terms of this and we all have our own axes to grind and best check official sites or clinics as to the exact incidences of certain diseases or the risks of a particular activity

And to basically remember all form of human contact, even kissing, can transmit things so this lifestyle whatever you do protected or not carries a risk

The key is decide, with the evidence not emotion, where you personally draw your risk line

I think my post has been misinterpreted by some. I am not criticising anyone for what they do or don't do. I am also mot thrusting opinions on people of what I think they should do.

We always use condoms when swinging (not for oral), when shooting films (professionally) us & the other people in them have a 28 day (cert) letter from the GUM clinic so we can do this bareback.

16 years performing on camera with 100's of people apart from the swinging & we have never had a single STD, we have only heard of one person getting a mild infection through oral in all the time we have ever done anything.

When you get checked up ask for a full test urine, blood, swaps etc, it don't make you indestructible to STD's but if anything should happen then its easier to trace where it first originated from.

Even in the industry there are some people we class as high risk & cert's or not we would always use condoms with them.

If a person as just arrived from South America, eastern Europe or Africa then they would need 3 clear consecutive certs (3 months all together) before shooting professionally as these are high risk countries.

You know, it would seem sensible that there was in 'Information' page on this site where forum (and general site) users could go to find links to websites with information related to such matters as sexual health, STI's, Breast Examination etc,etc. You could link to authoratitiave site - NHS, Terrance Higgins etc.

I mean, come on, if the site can put a ribbon on its front page for AIDS awareness day, Breast Cancer etc, a permalink page directing people to information to that people can be informed and make their own choices seems highly logical to me.
