I see there's a programme on Channel 4 tonight which describes Sunny Beach resort as hedonistic.

Any comments/experiences?

A couple I know took their little girl with them to the Hotel Sunny Beach so I'm hoping it's not that bad!!

My ex and I went years ago - it was like going to Blackpool if I'm honest! It didn't help that he wasn't very adventurous with things so we didn't actually leave the resort!

I wouldn't go back, I heard on the radio that it was a "Hedonistic" resort....

Give me a hotel in a quiet resort any day!

We went years ago. It was without doubt the worst holiday we have ever had. All the bottled beer we were drinking was over a year out of date. The food was awful and served by people still smoking. A lot of people went home after a couple if days. Two people broke their legs after the paragliding people landed them on rocks. When we came home my dad had saved me newspaper articles from the sun and mirror describing the place as a opened sewered he'll hole. A good description as every in my hotel

concurred it was a shit hole.

On the bright side we had a lot of sex, probably because there was fuck all else to do there.

I went 2 years ago very cheap and a nice place depending where you go. Definatley avoid the square/ main road area full of idiots but some of the back street pubs was nice suppose it's like alot of places good points and bad points. I had a nice time there. That's why I went 2 years on the bounce

Shit place but I'm saying that as I had a crap experience. Plus side - cheap, good weather, decent beaches. Bad - felt unsafe, crime, food tailored to Germans and Swedish, Pestered every five minutes by PR staff. If you insist on going go across to Golden Sands I think it was or the resort next to it! Much nicer and cleaner. My review is based on 5 years ago so may have changed.
