"Restless legs syndrome, also known as Willis-Ekbom disease, does anyone here suffer with it or know anyone that does? If so do you have any tips on how to cope with it? It does my head in, it's just another thing keeping me up all night!" I had some kind of issue with very disturbed sleep until I had a course of treatment from a Chinese medical herbalist (a very well qualified one). I went to try and sort something else out, but I have slept like a log ever since. Worth a try maybe.

I was prescribed "quinine" which did help until my body simply rejected it. and now i become violently ill if i take quinine. Now i have amiltriptyline. Which takes the edge off a little.

" A friend tskes amaltryptyline for other issues, still gets it quite bad sometimes. So god knows what it would be like without taking it. I will suggest quinine to them and see if that helps

"Am I misunderstanding you comment, or does your evidence below point to the suggestion, that RLS is connected to sleep disturbance? I know two people, who, when their sleep apnea was treated, the RLS, which severely effected both arms and legs was instantly cured. Hey! I'm not a medical practitioner, just someone who has read a little on the subject, and has experience of the misery it causes." I copied it from Wikipedia so not a link but your comment links in with the sleep bit as therefore someone is 'relaxing' and I think someone on this thread also said they find they suffer a bit when they were relaxing so the two people who's sleep apnea being treated there effectively cured the RLS would make perfect sense. If all that makes sense so nothing to do with being a medical practitioner, just made perfect sense

"Try Magnesium oil spray, available cheapest from Amazon, just under £10. I used to have terrible aching legs at work, tried everything, soaking in hot bath, massage, pain killers from doc etc and nothing worked until I read about the spray and bought it. Amazing, takes any pain away in minutes. Worth a try ?" Everything is worth a try when you haven't slept for nights!
