Only use the fresh-est eggs you can get.... and do not use eggs straight from the fridge....(room temp is best)

I love poached eggs and own those little rubber cups as well as a poacher (where you boil the water in the underneath part)

If you truly love a good poached egg, well worth the investment.

Also Jamie Oliver's app has a video for perfect poached eggs, although I'm yet to try it. Same principal as mentioned though.... Must be the freshest

I have silicone pods from the pound shop, you grease the inside, boil up some water, crack the eggs into the pods and place them in the water!

Maybe your not putting enough vinegar in or your not stirring the water round enough.... Mine have always come out perfick.... Take out with a slotted spoon and rest on kitchen towel or a spoon rest test for firmness but squidgyness. Hope this helps... If not I'll come show you or cook em for you

I find the trick is to crack the eggs into a bowl then lower the bowl into slightly simmering (not vigorous boiling) water and then slide the eggs into the water instead of cracking them straight into the water and watching them explode everywhere.
