watching the divine Mr Hollywood cooking up some goat and it got me wondering, what other meats would you or have you eaten?

I'd like to try goat, i've probably eaten horse but i'd like to knowingly try it.

I have eaten alligator, caterpillar (blody nephew tricked me! plus not sure thats technically a meat )

would you try some more exotic meats if they were more easily available?

I must admit to only ever eaten chicken in a Chinese/Indian although my preference is a nice T-Bone steak.

I've tried Venison but think that's as adventurous as I've been.

Yes I would. As a reformed vegetarian I've not eaten lots of different types of meats, I've tried goat though.

I'd be interested in trying some of the antipodean meats, alligator, kangaroo, wallaby etc.

Lol I'm guessing you've never been to any Afro Caribbean functions serving food if you've never tried goat

To me meat is meat, it's from a dead animal so what the hell does it matter what animal it is as long as it tastes good.

I've tried various. Wouldn't recommend crocodile but loved kangaroo.

I ate horse twice in Portugal.

Regularly eat chickens stomachs and ate chickens feet once in Thailand.

Eaten curried goat loads of times and chanfana is a delicious Portuguese goat recipe.

By all accounts the way forward is to eat insects.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Eaten horse, goat, mutton, veal. If we're going for animals in general I enjoy grilled octopus, and have eaten sea slug (not recommended!)

I think the only meat I would avoid is meat from carnivores. Apparently it doesn't taste that good. Meat is flavoured by what they eat and so meat from omnivores and veggie animals are said to taste better.

I would probably eat human if I was hungry enough (and it was legal)!

Veal - various European locations, this has to be my fave is so moreish so so wrong, yet so so yummy.... I would go to France for the day to get a Veal fix...

I will try anything other than snails, having had one inchs from my mouth and chickening it at the last min because someone saying "Just swallow, if you chew you will be there all day" This put out me right off!

I dont class my self a true veggie those i eat more veggie meals than meat. Im very fussy about meat and hate any kind of fat .So tend only to eat what i cook myself. Hence veggie when out and about. Ive eaten goat and to me its like a deeper flavoured lamb.Like mutton i suppose.

Apart from that, its only lamb, chicken, turkey and beef ....nowt else.

Would eat most herbivore but never, ever that of carnivores. Or endangered or sentient creatures species like dolphin or whale. Pigs don't count as carnivores btw as they are technically omnivores .

Horse I balk at, mainly because of the conditions they are shipped in after they are no longer of use but if it was produced in a humane, stress free kill, then I would (so likely never to happen)

I'd like to knowingly try horsemeat. Some believe its very anabolic so it's good for building muscles.

wouldnt turn my nose up at anything as long as i didnt know beforehand.

its just the thought of things that turns our stomachs.

if you tucked into a nice sirloin, and only found out afterwards it was Nigel from accounting, even though you would be repulsed, you would consider it again.

maybe eating Ruth from the typing pool, although she wouldnt need cooking, giggerty.

"Tongue! I kid you not! I remember my Grandad eating it when I was a little. Saw some in a traditional butchers the other day. My daughter asked what it was. I said 'just wrong!' "

I love tongue. A tongue and chopped liver sandwich is absolutely delicious.
