"Try contacting the local council they should be able to bring sand bags and clean out drain xx" Rang them earlier and they cant do anything as they are trying to help those worse off. They will try and get here at some point but if someones house is under water then they need more help than me at this moment. Saying that........if it gets in the kitchen then the whole ground floor will be affected....

"Lol... brother not long turned up, he was worried bless him He using a hosepipe to try and syphon the water its gone down a little but he cant sort the drain till tomorrow . it was close to the level of my door Not a lot i can do really and if it only affects my kitchen i will still be better off than a lot of people whose houses are totally under water " It may be that the main drain is full. Don't know where you live but if there's been a lot f rain or you live at the bottom of the hill you could well need help from the council. A quick call to their out of hours number will soon tell you if they've got a problem in the area

Move everything you possibly can upstairs if you really think its likely to get in the house

Can you get sandbags from the council to try and guide the water around the house to the front?
