yes a shame so far away,but as tina said you tube has so many tips on make up,or anything as to being as a woman,well,most things.

Me too! Love putting makeup on and I'm pretty good at it if I do say so self (years of trial and error). Like Tina says YouTube is a great resource but also many local beauty therapist will give makeup lessons

Also, boots do do a colour matching service. I'm thinking of going there myself.

I recently treated myself to a makeover a the bobbi brown counter. Got some really lovely products (bit pricey but better quality) to add to my makeup bag. So that's another option. Hated having to initially be barefaced in public though!

I've done this, as went through so many shades trying to find my colour without success. Only took a minute and the No7 high coverage stuff is excellent.

There are some great youtube tutotials now, and even smartphone apps.

The key is the preparation first...then foundation and a bit of powder....eyes can be natural or smokey and use colours that match your skin tone...hair colour and eye colour...I miss doing make up professionally

For example if you have blonde hair avoid blusher that has a lot of brown in it as it can make your face look dirty...use one with pink tones...if you are a red head use a blusher with brown tones as red hair can make you look washed out...if you have brown hair use a blusher with pink/brown tones...

I'd also recommend always using a primer before putting on the foundation. Makes a huge difference. I use Clinique total city block. Has SPF 25 or 40 so protects your skin and makes foundation go on like silk
